Medium of Paper and Duration
The Question Paper of NCHM JEE 2014 will be set in both languages “English” and “Hindi”. The “English Language section” of the Hindi Question Paper of NCHM JEE 2014 will be set only in English. The total duration of the exam is 3 hours.
NCHM JEE 2014 Paper Pattern
NCHM JEE 2014 will have a single paper comprising questions from five different subjects/sections. The question paper shall carry total marks of 200. Following is the question pattern of NCHM JEE 2014 Exam:
Each correct answer will lead to addition of one mark and each wrong answerwill lead to deduction of0.25 mark. This negative marking scheme is applicable to all section of the question paper except for questions belonging from “Aptitude for Service Sector” section.
The questions asked under Aptitude for Service Sector shall carry the graded marks. The most apt answer shall be awarded 1 mark, followed by 0.75, 0.5, 0.25 marks respectively. Only for this section negative marking scheme is not applicable.

Numerical Ability and Scientific Aptitude
Question 1- What is the number of numbers between 400 and 500 if both the numbers are counted?

Question 2- After the division of a number successively by 3, 4, and 7, the remainders obtained are 2, 1 and 4 respectively. What will be the remainder if 84 divide the same number?
(1) 80 (2) 76 (3) 41 (4) 53
Preparation tips: Questions strength will be 30 and questions will be covered mainly from standard 10 mathematics and science subjects. Reading class 9 and high school NCERT mathematics and science books will enhance candidate’s NCHM JEE 2014 exam preparation.
Reasoning and Logical Deduction
Question 1- The below question consists of a question and two statements numbered I and II. Decide whether the data provided in the statements are sufficient to answer the question. Mark answer as
(1) if the data in statement I alone are sufficient to answer the question, while the data in, statement II alone are not sufficient to answer the question.
(2) if the data either in statement I alone or in statement II alone are sufficient to answer the question.
(3) if the data in statement II alone are sufficient to answer the question, while the data in statement I alone are not sufficient to answer the question.
(4) if the data in both statements I and II together are necessary to answer the question.
Question 2- Statements: Some chairs are tables. Some tables are drawers. All drawers are shelves
Conclusions: I. Some shelves are tables.
II. Some drawers are chairs.
III. Some shelves are drawers.
